Super friendly and fun waiters here, which made our experience here quite enjoyable. Ordered the filet mignon, medium rare. The chefs absolutely nailed the temperature on this one. A fantastic crust on the outside of the steak, juicy, very well seasoned, and paired beautifully with the chimichurri. The honey glazed carrots and peas were delicious. King prawns on the side for a wonderful surf n turf sealed the deal. Highly recommend if you're in town and craving a wonderful steak and cosy atmosphere!
If you want the best and biggest steak you’ve ever eaten, this is the place!! This was one of the all time best meals I’ve ever had. But what gave it the cherry on top was the service. The manager was hilarious and had us in hysterics all night the loveliest, funniest, best service we’ve ever experienced (and we’ve been to some very good places). The dimly lit atmosphere with open fireplaces was charming and cosy. The only thing I’d say was a con (very hard to pick anything) was that it was very cold inside. Maybe some more heating elements would’ve made it a bit more comfy. But I’m so happy we found this hidden gem! Just superb! I’d give it 10 ⭐’s if I could!
Thoroughly enjoyed our steaks last night. I had the Scotch Fillet which was delicious, smokey and tender. The Marrow Gravey is to die for! 400g steaks are a bit much, but can't complain if we walked out of the restaurant full! The restaurant was warm and cosy with the fireplace going. Very romantic! Highly recommend!
Luckily, my daughter and I had delicious dinner at Amazing old Homestead Steakhouse, Daylesford, before we go back to Maribyrnong, Melbourne. Wow, My daughter, she loves old style restaurant and we like good value steaks too ( scotch fillet with medium rare still sweet, juiciness, tenderises and great crust outside) including with wine, Terrific!!!! ( no wine, I'm driving ) also mushroom sauce so yummy, quick serve . We really enjoy our dinner at steakhouse with friendly and care staff, we will come back and try more food, dessert too ( we still full after have High tea at the Convent and Art Daylesford). Let's come to try perfect steak here. Tina and Mum.
For an out of town steak place, it was fantastic. Service was great. Ans the scotch fillet steak was so soft and reasonably price for a 300g. Must have the onion rings as a side. Big and chuckle and crunchy. The food came out quickly which was a bonus. Old style looking pub really brings a great vibe to an out of town restaurant.
Right steak & wines Nice old fashioned Got a perfectly and little smoky medium rare Scotch fillet 300g. Come with sauce and side. (You also can extra sides just 5$) And if you guys still reading my review till this line, just let you know "you don't need to care about bad reviews much" Cause I was before rang for booking, but my experience after dinner was lovely and totally opposite with them. Just try guys!
Fantastic steakhouse in the middle of Daylesford Town Centre. We ate there for dinner and ordered a steak and the seafood pasta dish with a couple of cocktails. Everything was delicious. We saved room for the special ice cream sundae to share, and it was such a special treat.
We had a good time here. I had the steak with mushroom sauce and the honey glazed carrots and peas and the missus had the seafood platter . The steak and the sauce was great the sides were ok. The staff was super friendly and we had a really good time. The water tasted a bit funny but we had drinks so didn’t really care much for the water. For dessert we had the flaming crepe, the theatrics and taste was great. It has a bitter taste but the icecream helps to cut through that.
